Mazaya Qatar Real Estate Development has signed a 30-year agreement with the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development to develop and manage the QR1 billion Marina Mall shopping centre in Lusail, Doha, on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis. Marina Mall, on completion, will extend over 57,605 square meters, on two floors plus the ground floor. The project faces the New Marina and yacht club, currently under construction. The property is surrounded by various facilities and services including hotels, office space, commercial and residential units and a variety of leisure and entertainment facilities, as well as a cinema, theatres and an aquarium. Presently, the project is at the designing stage but it will be completed within 36 months from the acceptance of the design. It is characterized by its prime location in the centre of the Marina district which will be home to many different facilities such as hotels, commercial offices, residential units, entertainment venues and playgrounds. Once completed it will be one of the prestigious shopping centers Qatar.
